Trumpet Manucode Manucodia/Phonygammus keraudrenii

The Manucodes are related to the Birds of Paradise. Male and female have similar plumage, far less showy than their Paradise relatives but with blue and purple iridescence.

It has two horn-like plumes on its head and makes a trumpeting sound after which it is named.

The Trumpet Manucode is native to north-eastern Australia and New Guinea.
