The Moriche Oriole is native to north-eastern South America where it weaves a nest in Moriche Palms.
Previously known as Icterus chrysocephala, it was re-classified as a subspecies of the Epaulet Oriole,
Icterus cayanensis.
The golden-yellow cap and "epaulets." Male and female have similar plumage but young are dark brown.
The yellow rump and thighs.
