The Superb Fairywren, also called the Blue Wren, is native to south-eastern Australia. The breeding male has a
superb cyan blue head, neck and tail; the female, shown here, is less colourful.
(The Splendid Fairywren, from other regions of Australia and with a wholly cyan male, is also called the Blue Wren.)
Fairywrens, also called Fairy Wrens, are not related to Wrens (Troglodytes).
