Senegal Firefinch Lagonosticta senegala

The Senegal Firefinch, also called the Red-billed Firefinch, doesn't come only from Senegal but from most of sub-Saharan Africa; moreover, the bill isn't entirely red but is streaked with red and with a black line on the top.

Only the male Firefinch has bright carmine red plumage with brown and black-tipped wings and tail. The female is largely brown with red eyebrows and a red rump/upper tail.
