Thanks to Dr Harsha Vardhan Reddy for these photos of the Pied Bush Chat in India. The bird, related to the Stonechat,
has a vast range (and several subspecies) from the Middle East, Central, Southern and Southeast Asia.
The male has black plumage with white markings on the wing and a white rump and vent. Some can have a
whiter belly, but not as extensive as the Oriental Magpie-robin. The female is mainly brown.
As their name suggests, they like to chat - online.
