Yellow-vented Bulbul Pycnonotus goiavier

The Yellow-vented Bulbul is native to south-eastern Asia from Indochina to the Philippines. It is sometimes called the Eastern Yellow-vented Bulbul. Several other bulbul species have yellow vents.

Male and female have similar plumage. There are several subspecies over its range - the subspecies resident in Singapore is shown. Its diet is mainly berries and small fruits.
