The male Yellow-hooded Blackbird looks like a bandit with its black body and black eye-slits in its canary-yellow hood.
They are native to northern South America.
The female has mostly dark brown plumage with a golden throat and some golden markings on her brown head.
Both slightly resemble the larger North American Yellow-headed Blackbird (Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus)
but the male's head is flufflier.
