Viellot's Barbet Lybius vieilloti

Viellot's Barbet is native to bush just south of the Sahara, from Senegal in the west to Ethiopia in the east of Africa. It shows the whiskers under the bill which define the name barbet (some flattened in the rain).

Male and female have similar plumage and pairs duet throughout the year. A small barbet, it eats fruit and invertebrates.
