Waxwing Bombycilla garrulus
The Waxwing, also called Bohemian Waxwing, travels from Siberia to Western Europe in winter.
It travels in gregarious flocks stripping berries from trees.
The Bohemian Waxwing covers northern Asia, Europe and America.
The Cedar Waxwing remains in the US and the Japanese Waxwing only in Asia.
The plumage is silky. Male and female have similar appearance.
Shafts extend beyond the feather on the wing and are covered with red "sealing wax."
